Brief Profile

Guido Benny is a Senior Lecturer at the School of History, Politics and Strategy, Universiti Kebangsaan (National University of) Malaysia (UKM). He obtained his Doctor of Philosophy in Strategic and Security Studies at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2013 and continued his postdoctoral studies at UKM’s Institute of Malaysian and International Studies (IKMAS) between 2013 and 2014. The focus of his research is East Asia and Southeast Asia international relations, particularly on security, regional integration, and the ASEAN Community initiative, public opinion and participation, and economic development and security.
